  • Paired Reading Project Workshop

Wed 11 Jan 2017 Inclusion Leader

The paired reading project is a brand new project that we are launching, with the support of the Virtual School.  It involves paired reading at school and at home, using a strategy that is known to have a real impact on pupils' reading confidence and progress.

Initially, we will be trialling the project with a few pupils in Years 3, 2 and 1 so please look out for a letter inviting the parents / carers of these pupils to attend a workshop on 11th January 2017 at 8.45am.

    What is paired reading?

    • Flexible fun way for you to help your child.

    • Easy to do, little and often.

    • Children cannot fail.

    • No one gets confused, worried or bad tempered about reading.

    • Children have more interest, confidence and understanding with reading.

    • The project has been well researched and works!
