Autumn Term - Trailblazers, Barrier Breakers
This project links to the topic of Maafa and teaches children about significant black artists and their work, and provides opportunities to analyse and create artwork inspired by them.
Spring Term - Inuit
This project teaches about the Inuit way of life, including some of their cultural and artistic traditions. They will study the work of Kenojuak Ashevak and produce a stencil print based on Inuit designs.
Summer Term - Bees, Beetles and Butterflies
This project teaches children about illustrators and scientific drawings. They sketch insects and combine materials to create detailed illustrations.
