Week beginning Mon 27th April

Monday 27th April

Hey Rooks! I hope you had a lovely weekend, although weekends are not really as exciting as they used to be!  Yesterday I was supposed to be running the Southampton Marathon but obviously that got postponed.  It is now scheduled to take place in August so it gives me time to prepare. If I am being honest, I don't think my legs were ready!  I have been in the garden today, trying to enjoy as much sunshine as possible.  Have you seen the weather forecast this week? Make sure you carry an umbrella if you go for a walk :-(  I planted some sunflower seeds and also some sweetcorn and placed them in my greenhouse.  How are the seeds growing that you were given from school?  They must be doing well by now?

Tuesday 28th April

Hey Rooks!  What a difference a day makes!  Today's weather has been horrible and I'm sure it is here for the rest of the week :-(  I was in school today which is always nice to catch up with staff and the children who come in. We couldn't go outside though which was a shame.  At the least plants will be happy!  I came home to find two very wet rabbits in the garden.  Why do they just sit in the rain? They do have shelter.

Wednesday 29th April

Hey Rooks!  What is going on with the weather?  I woke up this morning and it was really bright, I was hopeful that the weather forecast would be wrong.  I spent a lot of time supervising Colin today.  He was getting too wet in the garden so I brought him inside but he is a little naughty.  He likes to chew things and chase the cats.  Daisy, on the other hand, likes to run around the garden when it rains and chase the pigeons.  I sometimes wonder if she is a cat in disguise?

I have received some lovely emails this week and it definitely puts a smile on my face.   It is really nice to see how you are all getting on so keep sending them :-)

Thursday 30th April

Hey Rooks!  I can't believe how much the weather has changed since last week!  As I am writing this, there is thunder and lightning outside.  I just had to run outside again to rescue Colin and Daisy from the garden, if I had waited any longer they would have been swimming.  The weather definitely impacts your mood but hopefully you have found the motivation to do some home learning today.  I find it easier when I get to take lots of breaks, that way I am not too tired on the activity.  However, it can be difficult sometimes, especially when Lily decides to sneak up on me and jump on my laptop.  Or stopping Colin from chewing things.  He almost escaped out the cat flap this afternoon! I think he must have been watching Lily and Suki.

Friday 1st May

Hey Rooks!  Well, the weather has been slightly better today.  There might be hope for the weekend!  I have not been to my allotment since last weekend and will go later today although I will have to wear my wellies.

You won't believe the drama that happened last night.  Lily went out for a late night walk in the garden and came home with a friend...a little mouse!  It sounds really cute but I spent nearly an hour trying to catch it and turned over all my tables and chairs whilst Lily was meowing really loudly.  I gave up in the end, especially as I caught it twice but it jumped out of the box.  I know it is still in the house because Lily can smell it.  Her homework this weekend is to let me know where it is!

Have a great weekend and keep smiling smiley
