Week beginning Mon 11th May

Monday 11th May

Hey Rooks!! What a difference in the weather!  It was so hot on Friday and Saturday, it felt amazing to be outside.  Then it all changed!  It was so windy yesterday, I had to run outside and stop Colin from being blown away next door.  Crazy!  I have been so busy today with work, that time has flown by, which is good. I found time to pop out to the shops to buy a few things, especially pet food, and managed to get a bigger sandbox for Colin and Daisy.  Although the cats like to play in it too.  I also bought a bench for my allotment.  At my age, I need to sit down a lot more when I am digging so it will be good to rest my back and legs!  I am going to school tomorrow so am super excited for that.  I'll be working with Miss Jones and Miss Sangha, I can't wait!

Tuesday 12th May

Hey Rooks!  I have had such a fantastic day today!  Why, I hear you ask?  Because I went to school! I got to spend the day with Miss Jones and Miss Sangha which was fantastic.  We did so much as well.  Check out the blog and you will see the amazing videos we made, it was such fun making them!  Maybe it will make us famous?

I came home to find the family sunbathing in the garden.  How rude is that whilst I am at work!  The weather is supposed to be warm all week so I better water the plants!!

Wednesday 13th May

Hey Rooks!  Can somebody please tell me where the sunshine is?  If anybody has seen it then please let me know!  I have had a pretty quiet day today, mostly staying indoors away from the cold wind.  I did a little bit of digging down the allotment and checked to see if any more vegetables had been eaten by insects.  Thankfully, they are doing OK for now!

It has been great to see lots of your emails today.  I have been sent a superb video on the water cycle which I will add to the school blog shortly as well as poems about the lockdown.  It really does make a difference when I wake up, look at my laptop and see all this fantastic work :-)

Thursday 14th May

Hey Rooks!  Well, the weather is getting a little bit better isn't it?  You can tell from reading my diary, that is all I think about!  I went into school this morning to do a little bit of work and it was nice to see some teachers that I had not seen for a while.  When I came home, I decided it was about time to...clean my shed!  Yes, you read that right, I decided it would be a good idea to have a sort out and make everything tidy.  Suki was curious and tried to help, but then she decided to just watch!

I have been receiving lots of emails and pictures recently of your fabulous work in the kitchen.  Pizzas and rock cakes are two examples of what I have seen.  In fact, I am so inspired I have decided to bake something over the weekend. Hmm, I wonder what I could do?

Friday 15th May

Hey Rooks!  Guess what? It's Friday!!!!! I am sure you already knew that. I will start by talking about the weather because I usually do.  It is a lot nicer today and hopefully stays nice over the weekend.  I have been out in the garden and plan to spend a lot of time down the allotment over the weekend.  There are a lot of vegetables and flowers that I need to take out of the greenhouse and plant so that is my main job.  Daisy is really happy because she has a new sandpit to play in.  She has been rolling around and digging in there today.  The cats have even been in there too!  We gave the old sandpit to Colin but he is not very impressed!

Keep smiling Rooks and I hope you all have a lovely weekend smiley
