Week 6 - 6/7
The Eng of Our Story!
We have come to the end of our class story Skylarks! I hope you have all enjoyed it! Below are the last few pages. Read them first before completing the tasks. :)
Above are the last few pages of our book. Have a read before you begin this activity. :)
Today I would like you to create a feelings mind map in role as the children after the storm was over. What emotions do you think they are feeling about being safely out of the storm? Remember to justify your answers by telling me why you think this! :)
They could be feeling a whole mix of emotions, consider the fact that the storm could have been very frightening for the children, although they both really enjoy adventures and this could have been their biggest adventure ever! Take a picture once you are done so I can see the wonderful you create!
For today's task I would like you to write your own review of the book The Green Ship.
Like previous book reviews I have add a few hints below to get you started! :)
Here are a few handy hints for you when you are writing your books review:
- Remember to include the title and the author of your book so others can find it and read it!
- Could you include your own star rating to show much you liked the book?
- What is your book about? ... but remember not to give away the ending. :)
- What was your favourite part? Who was your favourite character?
- Could you include a picture of your book?
Below are some templates of a book review if you would like to use them. But feel free to create and write your own! :)
Keep smiling! :)
Book review templates...
For today's third and final activity I would like you to put your creative skills to the test! I would like you to design your own front cover of our book The Green Ship!
Be as creative as possible! Think about what image you want on the front and what colours you want to use! You may even want to change the name of our book?!?
I have also added a template below if you would like to use it. :)
I can't wait to see your wonderful creations!
Keep smiling! :)
