Guess My Number!

This week we are going to use our knowledge of place value to play the game GUESS MY NUMBER!

This game requires you to read the clues I provide you to work our what number I am thinking of! :)

Activity 1

For our first activity I would like you to read the riddles below and work out what number I am thinking of from the selection of numbers above! :)

Problem 1

• It is an odd number.
• You say this number when you count in 3's.
• It is a 1 digit number.
• The number is larger than 4.
• What number am I thinking of?

Problem 2

• It is an even number.
• It is a 3 digit number.
• You say this number if you count in 10's
• You say this number if you count in 100's
• The first digit in my number is larger than 1.
• What number am I thinking of?

Problem 3

• It is an odd number.
• You say this number if you count in 3's.
• It is a 2 digit number.
• The sum of the 2 digits is 18.
• It is the largest 2 digit number on the board.
• What number am I thinking of?

For your second activity I would like you to write your own GUESS MY NUMBER riddles!

Once you have written your riddles can you then test them on a family member to see if they get the correct number you are thinking of?
