Match the picture and sentence
Maths- Capacity (how much a container can hold). This activity is all about the discussion you have with your child while you are filling and pouring. Use a collect of empty pots, bottles and jugs of different shapes and sizes for this. As you take turns filling the containers (with water or sand) and pouring the contents from one container to the other, ask your child: Is this full? Is this empty? Compare two bottles, which do you think will hold most water (have the greatest capacity)? How could we test and see? Can we order our containers by how much they can hold?
