Here are today’s Maths activities.
In Reception, we try to keep activities as practical as possible so that it resembles play, as children learn best this way.
You can watch the video to see what we are learning about today.
Warm up activity:
- Flashcards 0-20. You could check how many numbers you know and then work on the ones you are unsure of and practise these across the week.
- Order your number cards 0-20. Find something you can throw or roll onto the number cards (bit of scrunched up paper, a paper plane, small ball or bean bag, hair scrunchy) When your ‘throwing object’ lands on a card, say the number and turn it over. Can you keep going until all the cards are turned over?
This week we have been looking at addition.
Today we will use a number line to jump along to work out addition number sentences.
