Welcome to CLEVER Kingfishers!

Welcome to the Kingfisher home learning page! Here you will find lots of daily interactive activities that reflect a day in the life of a Kingfisher. Where we find ourselves in a strange and different situation.  We would just like you to know that we will be here every step of the way with you. May it be through the activities posted, MARV ME messages or seeing what fabulous things the children have been up to through.  Please feel free to email these to the class email account -

 We will do my very best!

Our Curriculum

Our Home Learning page consists of a structured routine that is similar to one in School. Below are daily stars with activities linked to our learning journey. In these stars you'll find:

* A timetable

* Interactive videos posted to guide you

* Online activities / tasks

A typical day will look like this...

A good morning from us with a positive affirmation. Straight into a wake & shake to get our brains and bodies moving. We will then share our Phonics teaching which will then be followed by an independent phonics task. You will then have the opportunity to have a snack and break. Afterwards, we'll go straight into learning about our topic and then Rainbow Time.  This is a time where you can complete your Rainbow Challenge and choose to play and investigate with your own toys and things in your environment. We will then share a Maths task with you. There'll be a 'time to read' where we will share a video story with you.

Keeping Track...

Children that are in school will be doing the same learning set so this is consistent across our year group. We are collecting their work to keep a record. If you would like to do the same at home, then keep any completed activities or sheets provided in a book or folder- whatever works for you! Photographs are brilliant too so take photos of any practical activities your child may complete.

When children are able to come back they can bring in their wonderful work and share this with us.

Talk To Teachers

Have no fear, we are here! We will be available throughout the sessions to help guide, give advice and support in anyway that we can. You can reach us through the class email account - Please feel free to email us at anytime and we will get back to you as soon as we can during the school day. We would love to hear from you and see the wonderful work that you have done so please do share.

Keep an eye on your MARV Me apps as we will be giving feedback on work shared and rewarding children through the MARV me badges. This is a great way to keep track of all the fabulous learning that is happening at home!
