NEW! Google Classroom
Guidance for parents (Google Classroom)
Accessing Google Classroom Using a Games Console
So this half term is going to be a bit different to how we imagined! From next week your first place to look for work set will be Google Classroom. https://classroom.google.com/ where you can log in with your school email address and password just as we did in school.
Luckily you are all amazing at using Google Classroom now, so as of the 11th of January one of us (or sometimes both!) will be going live on Google Meet at 9:00-9:30 daily. You can access these meetings by clicking the link at the top of the Kestrels page on Google Classroom. We would love to see you checking in with us each day if you can or as often as you can manage.
This will be a chance to say hello and discuss how we are all doing, as well as allowing us opportunity to explain any tasks that need completing that day. We will also be available online between 9am and 12pm to respond to any questions you may have .
The following is a suggested timetable for the day, but please do work as and when you can to make things easier for your families. We will give feedback to work by Friday every week and will do this as quickly as we can.
9.00 - 9.30 - Daily online Google Meet
9.30 - 10.30 - Maths
10.30 - 11.00 - Break
11.00 -12.00 - English
12.00 - 1.00 - Lunch
1.00 - 1.30 - Reading, Bug Club, TTRS
1.30 - 2.30 - Foundation subject (Science, History, Art....)
2.30 - 3.00 - PE (Joe Wicks?)
Some work may possibly require further attention and will be submitted back to you so you can edit or make corrections as needed. You can then resubmit it for a final check!
In addition to Google Classroom, our class email address is:
Use this email if you wish to send us any photos or work you cannot send through Google Classroom or if you are having any difficulties accessing the work.
As you are now using these Google accounts at home yourselves we would recommend you change your passwords. Please make sure it is something memorable!
You will be fabulous! We look forward to seeing and hearing about all your amazing remote learning.
Keep safe and well!
Mrs Adams and Mrs Hemnell 😊
